Yes, this does work on the 170EXT Sprinter. It does not go all the way to the rear, but there is not another set up from this manufacturer that goes further back. As I have a Maxxair fan located at the rear, I have no need for rails further back.
I'm very happy with it.

Good but not the same as OEM
Easy install and does the job as well as the OEM rails. Be aware that the slot and width of these rails is not the same as OEM rails. Don't expect any aftermarket brackets or adapters for awnings or racks to fit these rails. Fortunately, common carriage bolts available at Lowes/Home Depot slide right in and work well.

Exactly what I was looking for
1 to 10 10 being the best. I give a 10, easy installation, everything was supplied. The most time consuming was the prep work by removing the factory plugs and clean up of the old schmuk

Tracts fit perfectly. Initially had an issue with hole alignment configuration but finally figured it out. I had a good laugh, operator error.

A lot of work but not hard
You have to remove the headliner and pop out all the plastic fillers. An advantage to this track setup is you can screw the upper fasteners into the track, install the track and go inside yourself to put on nuts and washers. This saves you calling the wife every 10 minutes. The track does the job and I have my solar panels, my Thule setup, and my Fiamma all hooked to them.
