A very sturdy, heavy steel hitch made by Curt. I must admit that I had a mechanic install the hitch and wiring. Nice fit on the vehicle. Reasonable price.

trailer hitch
Trailer hitch worked great. Bit of a pain to install, but able to install without any special tools or knowledge.

Regarding install: I have a 2001 Eurovan - the left (driver side) frame rail appears occupied on the outside by a muffler shield, looks like that would have to be removed (it looks welded in place?) in order to secure hitch frame attachment nuts, and reinstalled - that would seem to be at odds with the instruction shown - comment?

The heat shield needs to be trimmed, but can be bent back instead. The instructions can be downloaded on our product page.
