1992 - 2005 EuroVan front left (driver side) door lock & keys - aftermarket

I bougt the cheap handle because it was cheaper. it does work but it required a tap to rethread mounting holes to allow use of factory bolts for install. I have purchased this cheaper handle before and it has broken after very minimal use. I'm not convinced the more expensive "factory" handle would be muich better as there is a fatal flaw in the design of the cast-in mounting boss. there is a useful fix on youtube for this. -It works -It's afforadble

I am very pleased with this item. The service was fast and easy. I was able to replace the lock cylinder with my original one, although I had to make a few minor adjustments. The fit to the door was a little off but not enough to make it not work. Nice to have a working door handle!

When I went to replace my door handle, I wanted to swap the lock cylinder from the old handle, so that all my keys for the van would still match. I couldn't do so, because the VAICO part didn't match original specs -- the little hole where one puts the pin to hold the cam that lifts the latch was misaligned by about 1/16". Then when I went to screw the handle into the door, the holes were misaligned so that I couldn't even screw the screws all the way in. The holes are misaligned by about 1/8". Luckily the door will still close with the screws hanging halfway out.

We ordered the drivers side outside door assembly for our Winnebago Rialta Motor Home (euro-van chassis ~ Volkswagen) The door-handle fit great and works well. The service was great and came in only two days. (we expected the time to be weeks, not days. Thank you very much for your good service!
