You obviously need these brackets if you buy the awning. They do fit on the Promaster existing mounts. They don't necessarily line up and I would suggest that in addition to the provided instructions, a string from front to back to get the alignment close. I had 3 brackets in my installation and you cant expect the existing brackets to aligned or that this bracket sits flush on the roof because of welds point. The design is very nice and when the awning is installed it feels secure.

Except for a bit of a delay in locating the special adhesive needed (nobody had it in stock) the brackets went on the roof very easily. They lined up height wise very easily and with a string stretched from front to back in the groove of the brackets it was very easy to line them up. The awning went on without any trouble. Very pleased.
