2015 - 2022 Ford Transit Full Sized Van Front Seat Swivel Adapter - available June 2022

At AVCRIG We've tried all the domestically available swivels for the Ford Transit. I like the construction of the swivel, very tight and not a lot of play like others. Shipping was fast and reliable, all good things. There are a few things a potential buyer should know. The hardware included with the kit is too long for the swivel to operate. So you'll have to go to the hardware store and source your own grade 8 hardware to replace what's included in the kit. The mounting holes on the place are slightly off so you'll also have to use a sizing bit to open them up a bit for a smooth installation. Also the hole in the center of the swivel is too tight to fit the wiring harness. This means you will need to cut and splice factory wires for your Ford, not ideal. Our model had manual seats, so this wasn't a huge issue (only two wires). If you have a power seat this would be more annoying. None of this is a deal breaker for a professional installer, but a novice at home install may in for more than you feel comfortable with. I agree with the guys at AVC its a nice swivel, you do have to modify wiring/cut/extend as well as I just cut the bolts down instead of buying new ones to keep the OG look...no big deal if you have a cutting wheel and a file/disk to make it much easier. I had to cut as well the latch hook, I did not want to bend it as that could compromise it and I do not want anyone to rely on it. No instructions but pretty straight forward, but not a total "bolt" on no modification install. Should be easy for any DIYer that has very moderate skill. 4 stars for no instruction and bolts being to long.

works very nice, easy install, you donot have to cut and splice the wires they will back out of thr Ford elec. connector and reassemble.

Love the item, very well made and sturdy, plus the screw holes matched my transit seat base perfectly so no drilling. Do have a couple small complaints though, the base came with not one word of instructions. Not "this side up" or anything. Found some good tutorials online. Once the seat was installed, it wouldn't turn for anything! Turns out the bolts provided are too long and rest in the bolt depressions for the base. A few washers took care of that problem. Then, once swiveled, couldn't turn it back around again. Apparently it rests a little differently when swiveled, so now I'll need to add another washer or buy shorter bolts. But overall, love this and it didn't add so much height that my pup couldn't jump up on the seat any more. Definitely recommend

I agree with the other comments about cutting wires and trimming down the four mounting bolts, no big deal, but you do lose the storage space under the seat for the van's jack,unless you want to remove the seat to get to the jack.
