2019 - 2024 Sprinter Scopema Brand Front Driver Seat Swivel Adapter - Older Generation Design - While Supplies Last

So there is a major flaw that not many people seem to be talking about with these swivels. Because Scopema prides themselves on minimal increase of the seat height, the hardware of the latch mechanism grinds on the swivel base when seated and swiveling. The swivel base has some flex to it. When seated and trying to swivel there's an awful grinding metal on metal noise. If they had made the gap a 1/4" bigger this issue would've been solved. Also, a bolt on the swivel mount is still hitting the emergency brake cover even after lowering, now cutting into the plastic cover repeatedly. The resolution: you cannot sit on the seat and swivel (I weigh 175 lbs but the issue also happens with my wife @ 145). So as long as you get out of the seat and then swivel it around you'll be fine but for the cost you really wish they had resolved this design flaw.

I didn't need the brake relocation so this review is only based on the swivel itself. Great product and fairly easy to install. I agree with "Nick" in that there is a slight grinding with the mechanism that scratches the metal. I'm not bothered by it and for the few times I'll swivel in a day it's definitely not a deal breaker (no resistance on swivel, btw). It does scuff up the paint job though, which is unfortunate. Minimal rise and easy-to-use lever still puts this at a 4 star product.

I purchased the Scopema swivel as an experiment replacement for my Sportscraft model as I wasn't happy with the difficulty of operation and height of the Sportscraft. I much prefer the Scopema swivel: the operation is very much smoother and the difference in height is quite noticeable. I am now planning on replacing my passenger side swivel as well. Although I had to pay a bit extra for shipping to AK, it was worth it. I will post a more detailed review in my blog 907van.com.
