Roof Mount Adaptor Kit for a RAM ProMaster Cargo Van 2014-Present

This kit includes 1 single adapter to attach to the factory roof mounting points on a RAM ProMaster van. Each adapter is comprised of one base section that slides over the roof mounting point, one top section that fits over the mount, and hardware. This mounting bracket can be used to adapt an H1 or H3 roof rack system on a RAM ProMaster van or can be used to build your own 80/20 or Unistrut roof rack, mount solar panels or other accessories. No drilling required.

These roof adapter mounts are included with all Ram ProMaster Vantech H1 or H3 roof racks.

I wanted to take advantage of the factory lugs mounted on my roof to mount a rack for my solar panels. The Vantech adapters were essentially the only way to do this. They are high quality and fit perfect. I needed eight. The $200 price tag seemed extreme to me, but I had no other options as they would be difficult to fabricate. They saved me putting any holes in my roof. I appreciate that.

Good Product

The product was very well made and relatively easy to install. I made thin rubber gaskets so there would not be metal to metal contact between the roof and brackets. The brackets are not tall enough to allow anything to span the roof, so spacers would need to be added to the top of each bracket so a cross piece of material would clear the high point of the rather flat Promaster roof. Not a big deal, but unexpected.

Fast shipping / excellent product

I purchased this item over the phone and it arrived faster than I thought it would. I was very hesitant to buy because I needed eight pieces, however, the sales rep was very helpful with all my questions so I went ahead and bought them. They are solidly constructed and mount perfectly on my 2018 Promaster hightop. I am very satisfied and would highly recommend them.

Do not use the bolts that come with these!! I broke three either trying to tighten or loosen after they misthreaded and using about 50% of my strength. I have never had this happen with any bolts for anything before. Very weak bolts- replace with steel. Replacement bolts from hardware store worked great- zero issues and far more trust. BTW- This is the first negative review I've ever written mainly because of safety- these bolts need to be well made as this is for a roof rack. Three stars since main part is fine but bolts are crap.

Promaster 2500 RV roof mount for solar panel rack

Purchased to mount a DIY aluminum solar panel rack to our 2014 Ram Promaster 2500 RV build. Quality item, well made, good fitment and lower priced compared to other mounts for the factory roof stubs.

Q: I am looking to mount a ladder rack to the top of a Dodge ProMaster. The ladder rack I have uses bolt in mounting. Are these adapters rated to handle a ladder rack?

A: These are used to mount the Vantech H1, H2 and H3 racks. If attached in the same way, then you should have the same evenly spaced weight rating.
