Genuine Clesana Part
The Clesana C1 Bio High-Barrier Foil Liner refills are the genuine replacement liners that keep your Clesana C1 running. Each pack includes two DIN-certified bio foil liners made largely from renewable biomass. A single liner seals an average of 40 individual bags , so one pack delivers roughly 80 uses . These liners are built specifically for the Clesana C1.
What Is in the Pack
2 Bio Foil Liners
Two genuine Clesana C1 high-barrier foil liners per pack. Each loads into your C1 in seconds, no tools required.
About 80 Total Uses
Each liner seals an average of 40 individual bags, for roughly 80 sealed bags per pack. Actual count varies with use.
Made largely from renewable biomass and DIN-certified. The Bio High-Barrier Foil Liner is the eco-conscious version of the C1 liner. It delivers the same outstanding protection against odor and moisture as the standard liner, while using a film made mostly from plant-based biomass rather than conventional plastic.
How the C1 Liner System Works
The Clesana C1 uses a roll of high-barrier foil to line the collection chamber. Before each use, a fresh section of liner is drawn into place. After you finish, the C1 welds the liner shut around the waste, forming an individual airtight, odor-proof bag that you simply remove and set aside for disposal. The next fresh section is ready for the following use.
Because every use is sealed into its own bag, there is no open holding tank, no chemicals, and no water needed. A fresh Bio High-Barrier Foil Liner produces an average of 40 sealed bags before it needs replacing, and this pack gives you two liners to keep on hand.
The sealed bags can be disposed of in ordinary household waste. Check your local waste-management regulations first, as a small number of US municipalities have rules about human waste in landfills.
Why the High-Barrier Film Matters
A sealed bag is only as odor-proof as the film it is made from. Clesana's bio high-barrier foil has been independently tested at the Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering and Packaging (IVV) , one of Europe's leading packaging research institutes, against a widely used competing film.
Fraunhofer IVV Report ME-1051-25 (January 2025): Clesana's bio high-barrier foil liner demonstrated 2,200x better oxygen barrier performance and up to 34x better water vapor barrier than LooSeal bio PREMIUM foil, a widely used competing film.
A stronger oxygen barrier keeps odor-causing gases sealed inside the bag. A stronger water vapor barrier keeps moisture fully contained. Both matter in an enclosed van, RV, boat, or cabin, where a leaking bag would be a serious problem.
The C1's sealing mechanism is calibrated for the thickness and material properties of genuine Clesana film. Using non-genuine liners may result in incomplete seals and could affect your warranty. We sell only genuine Clesana liners.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many uses do I get out of one pack?
Each liner seals an average of 40 individual bags, so a 2-pack delivers roughly 80 uses. The exact number varies with how the C1 is used. It is a good idea to keep a spare pack on hand so you are never caught without a liner on the road.
What makes this the "Bio" liner?
The Bio High-Barrier Foil Liner is made largely from renewable, plant-based biomass rather than conventional plastic, and it is DIN-certified. It provides the same odor and moisture protection as the standard C1 liner in a more eco-conscious film.
Is this liner compatible with the Clesana X1 or X1 ProCharge?
No. This liner is designed for the Clesana C1 only . The X1 and X1 ProCharge use a different foil liner system. Please verify your model before ordering.
Can I use third-party or aftermarket liners in my C1?
Clesana does not support the use of non-genuine liners. The C1's sealing mechanism is calibrated for the thickness and material of genuine Clesana film. Using other liners may result in incomplete seals and could affect your warranty. We stock and sell only genuine Clesana liners.
Where do the sealed bags go?
Clesana recommends disposing of the sealed bags in ordinary household waste. The high-barrier film keeps each bag fully sealed and odor-free for transport. A small number of US municipalities have restrictions on human waste in landfills, so check your local waste-management rules to be sure.
What is the difference between this and the standard C1 foil liner?
Both liners fit the Clesana C1 and deliver excellent odor and moisture protection. This Bio version uses a DIN-certified film made largely from renewable biomass, while the standard High-Barrier Foil Liner uses a conventional film. Choose the one that best fits your priorities.
