awning brackets

The brackets worked great on my 78 t2 with a little modification to the front bracket.

Q: I have a 2000 high top conversion Dodge van with rain gutters. The VW mount looks like it will fit? Also how wide is mount?

Asked by: Mark - 9/29/2021

A: This product likely would not work on a Dodge van. The VW Vanagon has an exposed B pillar where the bracket sits below the gutter. If you have a high roof, you can mount an awning through the fiberglass roof. The Fiamma F45 awning includes wall brackets.

Q: Will this bracket fit on a 1987 Westfalia Weekender with the pop up roof and keep the Fiamma F35 Pro awning from interfering with raising and lowering the roof? What width of awning do you recommend for the 1987 Westfalia?

Asked by: Becky - 6/21/2023

A: You can download the instructions from the product page description that will give you a better idea of what size awning and how the brackets mount. 3m is the most popular, but does require truck freight shipping.

Q: How rugged are these? Are they basically for highway use or are they secure for rougher backroad use?

Asked by: Steve - 3/21/2025

A: We do not have any direct experience with these brackets on really rough terrain, but we have not had anyone report issues either.

Q: Will this mount fit on a 2010 ford e250 Econoline van

Asked by: Brian Etheridge - 3/27/2025

A: Hi Brian,

Because the E series does not have an exposed B pillar between the cab and the body, there is nowhere for the foot of this bracket to rest against the van. If you do not have a pop top you can use Fiamma 98655-011 brackets or mount to the side of a roof rack.

Q: Will this work on a 2003 Chevy Express sports mobile with a pop top?

Asked by: John - 4/5/2025

A: Hi John,

Because the E series does not have an exposed B pillar between the cab and the body, there is nowhere for the foot of this bracket to rest against the van. We suggest checking with Sportsmobile to see what they would recommend.
