No. 2019 was the changeover to the VS30 generation, chassis M907, and the seat base changed with it. A 2007 to 2018 Sprinter is the NCV3 generation and takes a different Scopema part entirely, the CBTO15 family, not the CBTO21 on this page.

You will see listings elsewhere that stop at 2023 or 2024. That is usually a page nobody has updated rather than a real fitment limit, but it makes for an anxious purchase. We keep this range current because we are the importer and we hear about changes from the factory first.

Yes. The same swivel fits the 2015 through 2023 Metris, which is the W447 platform and every model year Mercedes sold in the United States before discontinuing it here. Order it from this page and choose your side the same way.

Definitely not. Sprinter seat pedestals frequently leave the factory slightly out of square. The swivel is machined square, so when the two meet, the holes can be a few millimeters off.

The fix is to loosen, not to drill. Back off the bolts holding the pedestal to the van floor before you fit the swivel. That lets the pedestal move the small amount it needs to. Set the swivel on, start every bolt by hand before tightening any of them, then tighten gradually, working around the base rather than doing one corner at a time. Once the swivel is down, retighten the pedestal bolts to the vehicle floor. The pedestal ends up conforming to the swivel, which is the right way around.

Drilling out the holes is what people do when nobody has told them about this, and it is worth avoiding on a part that carries seat belt load. If it still will not go together after trying the above, stop and call us at 636-337-7700 before you reach for a drill.

One thing, and it is minor. Underneath the seat rails there are two locator pins that index the seat into the factory pedestal. Once the swivel sits between the two, those pins have nothing to locate into, so they get cut off. Both sides, driver and passenger.

It is documented in Scopema's installation instructions, so it is an expected step rather than a workaround. It does not change how the seat mounts and nothing else on the seat, the rails, the trim, or the van gets modified.

Yes. Scopema approves this swivel for both manual and powered Sprinter seat bases, and unlike some other vans, no spacer, shim, or stacked washers are needed to clear the mechanism. It bolts on the same way.

No. If your Sprinter has a manual parking brake lever, choose the manual parking brake driver side option and the Scopema ACAFMS adapter comes in the box with the swivel. There is nothing else to add to your cart, and nothing to remember at checkout.

You need the adapter because the swivel raises the seat by 23 mm, and that is enough that a hand brake lever no longer clears at full travel. Vans with an electric parking brake button do not need it, and the passenger side never needs it whichever brake you have.

One per seat. Swivels are side specific, so if you want both cab seats to rotate, order one driver side and one passenger side. Most Sprinter builds end up with both.

This is one of the lowest profile swivels made. It adds 23 mm, about 7/8 of an inch. Most people do not notice a change in driving position, and the low profile is the reason we sell this design rather than a taller one. It is also why the parking brake adapter exists: 23 mm is small, but it is enough to matter to a hand brake lever.

It works best when you rotate it while not seated. That is a direct trade-off of the ultra-low profile design.

No. This swivel fits every Sprinter wheelbase and every roof height: 144 inch, 170 inch, 170 extended, standard roof and high roof. The swivel mounts between the factory seat base and the seat, so nothing above the cab floor affects it. What matters is your model year, your seat type, and which parking brake your van has.

Yes, with the seat locked in the forward facing position, which is the only position it locks in by design. The swivel is pull-tested to FMVSS and CMVSS 207 and 210, the same seat and seat belt anchorage standards that apply to the factory seat mounting.

A rotated seat must never be occupied while the vehicle is moving. Rotate it when you are parked, and lock it forward before you drive.

Not crash tested, but it is worth knowing why that is the right answer rather than a disappointing one. A crash test means a whole vehicle, a dummy, and a wall. That is a vehicle level standard, and nobody runs it on automotive accessories.

A swivel is tested differently and more specifically. It is pull tested: the seat is chained to a calibrated machine and loaded until failure, at set angles and forces, to FMVSS and CMVSS 207 and 210, the seat anchorage and seat belt anchorage standards. Scopema also holds TÜV approval, which covers the manufacturing facility. Those are the documents that actually mean something for a part in the load path of your seat belt.

Ask any seller for the report. Anyone can write "heavy duty," "safety tested," or "crash tested" on a page. A swivel that has genuinely been through the process can produce a specific document naming a specific standard. Scopema can, and we will send you the paperwork if you want to read it. If a seller cannot name the standard and produce the report, treat the claim as marketing.
