Serpentine Belt for 2001–2003 VW EuroVan and Winnebago Rialta with the 2.8L VR6 (AXK Engine)

This is the replacement serpentine belt for 2001–2003 Volkswagen EuroVans and Winnebago Rialtas with the 2.8L 24-valve VR6, engine code AXK. It replaces VW part number 021145933P. Depending on availability, you'll receive either a Mitsuboshi belt (the original-equipment supplier) or a Continental ContiTech belt (OES). Both are size 7DPK1360.

Specifications

  • Replaces VW part number: 021145933P (also cross-references to 021145933, 021145933D, and 021145933H)
  • Belt size: 7DPK1360 (7 ribs, 1360 mm long, ribbed on both sides)
  • Brand: Mitsuboshi (OE) or Continental ContiTech (OES), depending on availability
  • Engine: 2.8L 24-valve VR6, engine code AXK
  • Sold: Individually

Fitment

  • 2001, 2002, and 2003 VW EuroVan with the AXK engine
  • Winnebago Rialta with the AXK engine, including Rialtas badged as 2004 and 2005 models (these were built on the 2003 EuroVan chassis)

VW often made changes mid-model-year, so always go by your engine code rather than the model year alone. 1999–2000 EuroVans with the 12-valve VR6 use a different, longer belt (VW 021145933K / 7DPK1395). Not sure which you have? Contact us before ordering and we'll help.

Why the "D" in 7DPK Matters

This belt is ribbed on both sides because part of the accessory drive runs on the back of the belt. A standard single-sided 7PK1360 is the same length but is not the same part, so double-check the size if you're comparing belts.

When to Replace Your Serpentine Belt

Check the belt during routine maintenance and replace it if you see:

  • Cracks across the ribs
  • Shiny, glazed sides
  • Frayed edges or missing chunks
  • Squealing at startup or when the A/C kicks on

When you replace the belt, check the tensioner at the same time. A weak tensioner will shorten the life of a new belt. We carry the complete EuroVan drive belt tensioner for 1997–2003 2.8L models. Many EuroVan and Rialta owners also carry a spare belt on road trips. If the belt breaks, you lose charging, A/C, and the other belt-driven accessories.

Install tip: Take a photo of the belt routing before you remove the old belt.
