2003 EuroVan Camper

Silly little piece, but the blind will not work without it! This very inexpensive piece was just what we needed to make a simple repair, rather than replace the whole blind! One of our spools broke while moving furniture (NOT camping). Only needed one, so now we have a spare!

Blind Cord Spools

We have a 2002 VW Winnebago Camper Van. Several of the blind spools had been severely damaged by UV waves and were breaking apart and the blinds kept sliding down creating same iffy driving conditions. The new spools are identical to the original spools and the blinds now stay up. It's a bit challenging to thread the cords onto the spools so be patient.

Q: I bought a pair of these spools from you earlier this. Can you direct me to a You Tube or other video or content on how to install one? My repair guy says they are not the correct size for my 1995 Eurovan. I'm unsure if he is right or just doesn't know how to install the spool. It seems like the spool would go below the hole for the fastener but the spool is too big to fit into the sinker hole. Does this fix require removing the interior door panel? Thanks, Pam

A: These are identical to what Winnebago used on a 1995 model. The bobbins may be located behind panels depending on which window you are working on, The bobbin in just a place to tie the cords to. If the cords are tight then you have tension on the shades and they stay up. You may be able to relocate the bobbins on the rear window. Mount the bobbin to the plastic trim below the window. Use a small pice of 1/4" thick plywood under the plastic as a backer to screw into. For the blind above the sink, the bobbins are behind the cabinets. If you have a newer than 1995 EVC then you may have a bobbin mounted to a base. These are no longer available, but this bobbin sold here can still be used,
