Custom made Lloyd Rubbertite floor mats for 1999 - 2003 VW EuroVan MV & MV Weekender models. #3998530-RT mat fits passenger area floor with rear facing seats removed. Mat covers mounting holes in floor for rear facing seats. You can cut your own holes if you want the option of using the rear facing folding seat. MV & MV Weekender models from 1999 - 2003 have 2 rear facing seats. Weekender models have a pop top roof and Standard MV models have a standard metal roof. Rubber passenger area mats are cut about 2 inches short toward the front of the van due to size limitation of the rubber material. This mat will still cover the majority of the floor area and offers good protection against dirt and spills.

High quality floor mat fits well

The mat was the correct shape/dimensions for the area, arrived quickly, and appears to be very well made. It's a heavy rubber, quite thick and durable, and I'm very happy with it. Note that I have a weekender model, and the bench seat still slides out easily over the height of the mat. I removed the regular carpet, of course.

Cut was off, but still great

I wonder if mine was cut on a friday afternoon. The rear vent cutout was off by a couple inches and 2 corners needed trimming to lay flat. Fixed in a few minutes with a box cutter. The mat doesn't entirely cover the carpet, it's short by an inch on the front and back. Otherwise this mat is awesome, the material is flexible and lays nice and flat. Easy to remove and clean.

Overall a very nice product. A bit of hand trimming on one corner was required due to a bit of misalignment in the cut-out for the rear heater vent. I am a bit fussy, but must buyers would likely find the fitment to be fine just as delivered. Recommended!

Q: Can I install this over the carpets? What do I do about the jump seat attachments and cooler box?

A: This mat is best used for those that have removed the rear facing seats. We have other options for mats that fit with these seats in place.

Q: How hard is this to install? Does the lip tuck into the door step in the same way that the carpet does? I am assuming I would need to take the carpet up and then is this mat adhered to the under plywood? Thanks for your help

A: This is a floor mat designed to fit over existing carpeting. It is not designed to replace the carpet and will not tuck under the side step molding.

A: It will not fit well in a GLS. The MV model has thicker side wall panels

Q: It looks like you are not meant to remove the carpet, is the bench seat still able to slide over the mat?

A: There is adjustment in the wheels where the bed slides out. If you can increase the clearance the bed will be able to be pulled out over the rubber mat.
