Scopema Swivel Seat Base for the 2014 to 2026 Ram ProMaster
A swivel turns your ProMaster cab seat into part of the living space. Rotate the seat to face the back of the van and a narrow galley suddenly feels like a room, with two more places to sit. This is the newest generation Scopema adapter, built specifically for the ProMaster rather than adapted from a generic plate.
It is one of the lowest profile swivels available: it raises the seat by only 33mm, about 1.3 inches. It is also compatible with our Lowered Seat Base

Which side do I need?
Swivels are side specific and sold individually. Choose from the passenger side or driver side in the drop down menu. If you want both cab seats to rotate, order one of each.
The ProMaster needs no parking brake adapter, so there is nothing else required. Both options ship complete.

Ram ProMaster swivel compatibility
Vehicles that fit
2014 through 2026 Ram ProMaster vans with the factory seat base and a factory bucket seat. Every wheelbase and every roof height, 1500, 2500 and 3500 models. Roof and wheelbase do not affect swivel fitment. If you see this swivel listed elsewhere as "2013 and newer," that is the European Fiat Ducato launch date. The Ram ProMaster went on sale in North America as a 2014 model, so a North American van will be a 2014 or later.
Not compatible with
The air suspension driver seat , sometimes called the air ride seat. This swivel also does not fit the Ram ProMaster City , which is a completely different, much smaller van. Also not compatible with the factory swivel option.

Plan on this during installation
You do not need spacer bars. If you have read a review or a forum thread describing spacer bars for seat belt buckle clearance, that was the previous generation swivel. The current CBTO16D3 and CBTO16G3 do not use them.The seat has to come out of the van, so line up a second set of hands.
How it rotates
The swivel rotates 180 degrees on an offset pivot, set toward the inside of the van so you can swivel with the doors closed. Because the swivel is so low profile, it works best when you rotate the seat while you are not sitting in it.
Locking and driving
By design, the swivel locks only in the forward facing position. The seat must be locked forward facing any time the vehicle is in motion.

Safety and certification
A swivel sits between your seat and the seat base in the load path of your seat belt. That is not a place to save money on an unbranded part. Scopema swivels are physically pull-tested, not simply calculated:

Installation
Every swivel ships with printed instructions and all of the hardware you need. Installation is a bolt-in job with hand tools, and it involves removing the seat from the van, so a second set of hands makes it much easier. Torque all fasteners to the values given in the instructions.

Do I need one swivel or two?
One per seat. Swivels are side specific, so if you want both cab seats to rotate, order one driver side and one passenger side.
Will this raise my seat too much?
This is one of the lowest profile swivels made. It adds 33 mm, about 1.3 inches. Most people do not notice a difference in driving position, and it is the reason we sell this design rather than a taller one.

Can I rotate the seat while I am sitting in it?
It works best when you rotate it while not seated. That is a direct trade-off of the ultra-low profile design.
Do I need a parking brake adapter?
Not on a ProMaster. Some vans need a brake adapter so the parking brake lever still clears the raised seat, but the ProMaster is not one of them. Both the driver side and the passenger side swivel ship complete, and there is nothing extra to add to your cart.
Will it work with my heated seats, airbags, or under seat wiring?
Yes. The swivel mounts between the factory seat base and the seat, so it does not interfere with seat heaters, side airbags, or the belt system. The seat wiring does get rerouted: it passes through the center hole of the swivel.
I have the air suspension seat. Will this fit?
No. The air suspension driver seat, sometimes called the air ride seat, carries its own suspension mechanism underneath, and there is no room for a swivel below it. There is no version of this part that fits it.
Will I have to cut anything?
No. On the ProMaster this is a bolt-in installation. No drilling into the floor, no cutting the seat base, no trimming brackets, and no splicing wiring. The swivel uses the factory mounting points and the hardware comes in the box.
What about the spacer bars I read about in a review?
Those were part of the previous generation ProMaster swivel. That version needed two spacer bars to clear the seat belt buckle. Several reviews and forum threads still online describe that install, and they are accurate about the part they were written about.
This is not that part. The current generation, CBTO16D3 and CBTO16G3, does not use spacer bars and the needed height was incorporated into the design of the swivel plate. The added height is 33 mm and it stays 33 mm.
My van is a 2025 or a 2026. Does this still fit?
Yes. This swivel covers 2014 through 2026 Ram ProMaster vans with the factory seat base, including the 2025 and 2026 model years. We keep this fitment range current because we are the importer and we see the changes first. If you have seen listings elsewhere that stop at 2023, that is the listing being out of date, not the part.
I have a 2013 ProMaster. Will this fit?
If your van was sold in North America, you almost certainly have a 2014 or newer. The Ram ProMaster was shown in early 2013 but went on sale here as a 2014 model. Listings that say "2013 and newer" are quoting the European Fiat Ducato, which is the same platform under a different badge.
Check the model year on your door jamb sticker or your registration. If it really does say 2013, or if the van was imported from overseas, call us before ordering and we will identify the right part.
Does this fit a ProMaster City?
No. Despite the name, the Ram ProMaster City is a completely different and much smaller van, built on a different platform. This swivel is for the full size ProMaster only. If you have a ProMaster City, call us and we will tell you honestly whether there is anything that fits it.
Is this crash tested? How do I know a swivel has actually been tested?
Not crash tested, but it is worth knowing why that is the right answer rather than a disappointing one. A crash test means a whole vehicle, a dummy, and a wall. That is a vehicle level standard, and nobody runs it on automotive accessories.
A swivel is tested differently and more specifically. It is pull tested: the seat is chained to a calibrated machine and loaded until failure, at set angles and forces, to FMVSS and CMVSS 207 and 210, the seat anchorage and seat belt anchorage standards. Scopema also holds TÜV approval, which covers the manufacturing facility. Those are the documents that actually mean something for a part in the load path of your seat belt.
Ask any seller for the report. Anyone can write "heavy duty," "safety tested," or "crash tested" on a page. A swivel that has genuinely been through the process can produce a specific document naming a specific standard. Scopema can, and we will send you the paperwork if you want to read it. If a seller cannot name the standard and produce the report, treat the claim as marketing.
Why buy from an authorized distributor instead of a marketplace listing?
Swivel bases show up on marketplace sites at tempting prices, sometimes as unbranded plates and sometimes with no traceable manufacturer at all. A swivel carries your seat belt load. Buying from the authorized distributor means the part is genuine Scopema, it is covered by the factory warranty we administer here in the United States, and the instructions in the box match the part in the box. If something is wrong, you call us and we fix it.
