A: Hello,

Unfortunately, we do not have the 1992 EuroVan CV Westfalia model in the US. We believe that they are different propane tanks.

Q: I just purchased this butcant find instructions anywhere on the net to actually replace my old leaking one. Do I just unscrew the old one and install this new one with gas Teflon tape? And of course get rid of all the gas first. Any help is greatly appreciated.

A: Thanks for the question. Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not publish step-by-step installation instructions for this fill valve. However, here is what we can share:

You're correct that the tank must be completely emptied of all propane before removing the old valve. The new valve does come with thread sealant already applied. The valve threads directly into the tank, so the basic procedure is to unscrew the old one and thread in the new one. Be sure to use gas-rated yellow Teflon tape and not standard white plumber's tape.

That said, because this is an LP (propane) system, we strongly recommend having a certified propane technician or RV service center handle the replacement. A local propane dealer or RV shop can typically do this job quickly and affordably, and they will leak-test the connection afterward to ensure everything is safe.
